Three people were injured as a brick-laden truck hit a car, a microbus and a CNG-run autorickshaw and on the Moghbazar-Mouchak Flyover early Wednesday following a break failure.
The injured people were passengers of the autorickshaw. The details about their identity could not be known yet.
The accident reportedly took place at around 12:30am as the truck hit the vehicles after the driver lost control over the wheel when it was coming down from the flyover, said Hatirjheel police inspector (Operations) Abdul Quddus, confirming the matter.
The injured were rescued and taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
Vehicles were removed from the flyover after the accident to keep traffic movement normal, he said.
The police officer said the truck driver fled the scene after the accident but the vehicle was seized.
