Law Minister Anisul Huq said that there is no law to allow BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia to go abroad for treatment.
He said this at an exchange meeting with primary school teachers at Sirajul Haque School and College in Brahmanbaria on Monday afternoon.
The minister said: “Khaleda became sick during the time of Covid so she was permitted to stay at home under two conditions. Doctors in Bangladesh have cured her a lot. She recently went to the hospital again regular check-up. Khaleda Zia is healthy now.”
“Khaleda Zia was not released for BNP's agitation. She has been exempted by the generosity of the prime minister. Khaleda Zia will have to get treatment in Bangladesh,” he added.
