Mercury has dropped across Bangladesh in the last couple of days following a spell of a severe heatwave in some parts, and the met office has forecast that areas still sweltering through a mild heatwave will soon see better weather.
Rain is likely in all eight divisions of the country on Sunday and Monday, according to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department's latest weather bulletin.
Rainfalls or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty/squally wind are expected at a few places in Rangpur, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions as well as at one or two places in Rajshahi, Khulna and Barisal divisions.
However, the BMD expects the temperature to rise again after precipitation.
The highest temperature in the country on Saturday was 38 degrees Celsius and Jessore and Mongla while the lowest temperature was 18.4 degrees in Tetulia.
The temperature dropped as low as 23.4 degrees and got up to 36.2 degrees in Dhaka.
