The main congregation of Eid-ul-Fitr will be held at the National Eidgah on the High Court premises at 8am on the Eid day.
The decision was taken at a meeting headed by Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) Mayor Barrister Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh at Buriganga Hall of Nagar Bhaban on Monday afternoon.
In the meeting, Mayor Taposh said: “We are expecting VVIPs including the president to participate in the National Eidgah Maidan this time. Also, Dhaka residents spontaneously participate in the main Eid congregation. So, our aim is to make this arrangement seamless.”
In the meeting, the representative of Special Security Force (SSF) highlighted the security related issues.
