Bidyanondo apologizes for photo blunder

Bidyanondo Foundation, a voluntary organization, has apologized for its recent photo blunder on social media.

They reportedly used pictures from the internet to make a collage that showcased ornaments made from burnt fabrics recovered from the recent Bangabazar fire.

“We sincerely apologize for the wrong image attached to a collage picture posted on Bidyanondo's page. Our project team downloaded several sample images from the internet to make ornaments from the burnt clothes from the Bangabazar fire,” the organization wrote in a Facebook post on Sunday.

They noted that they had mistakenly sent the reference pictures to their social media team while sending them their products' pictures.

“The social media team created a collage of six pictures without proper verification and approval where two pictures are of Bidyanondo but the remaining four pictures are pictures from the internet,” the post reads.

The organization also mentioned that they have removed the collage picture, and started an internal investigation into the matter.
