Indian travel vlogger visits Bangladesh to witness Independence Day celebrations

A 24-year-old travel vlogger from India's Rajasthan has come to Bangladesh to witness and capture Bangali nation's enthusiasm on Independence Day.

Ravi Ray, owner of the YouTube channel “Nomad Baba” was seen talking to people at National Martyrs' Memorial in Savar on Sunday morning. 

He told Dhaka Tribune that he entered Bangladesh through Benapole land port on March 20 to witness and show his viewers how Bangladesh celebrates Independence Day. 

“I have heard and read in books that India-Bangladesh relations are good. And today I came to Bangladesh and saw it in real life,” he added.

“India helped Bangladesh a lot during the war. Bangladeshi people have been given army training in India. Because of this, Bangladesh gained independence from Pakistan. I will show my country how Bangladesh celebrates Independence Day through my vlog,” Ravi Ray added.

“Our friendship with Bangladesh is very beautiful. The people of this country have given me a lot of love,” he added.

He also mentioned that he has been travelling for the past seven years. “I travel whenever I get a chance. I once travelled by bicycle for six months. I will stay in Bangladesh for a month.”

The vlogger also mentioned that he plans to visit several districts of Bangladesh, including Cox's Bazar and Sylhet.

Bangladesh is observing the 53rd Independence Day on Sunday, with thousands of people from all walks of life gathering at the National Martyrs' Memorial in Savar.

President M Abdul Hamid, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, several political parties, and common people paid their rich tributes to the martyrs and brave freedom fighters of the Liberation War.
