To bolster agricultural production and boost the farming of the country, leaders of Awami Jubo League, the youth wing of the ruling party, started distributing machineries, fertilizers and farming equipment among the farmers at Kazi Abu Yusuf Stadium at Bhanga upazila of Faridpur on Monday.
Jubo League leaders said that they have taken this initiative to mark their 50th anniversary celebration in a bid to give pace the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's slogan to cultivate each and every inch of the land of the country. They will also continue the distribution countrywide.
Dhaka TribuneLocal lawmaker Mujibur Rahman Chowdhury Nixon, also a presidium member of the Jubo League, arranged the program in his constituency under the banner of the central Jubo League, while deputy leader of the Parliament and former Agriculture Minister Matia Chowdhury spoke as the chief guest.
Media personality Suvash Cingho Roy, Jubo League Chairman Sheikh Fazle Shams Parash, Jubo League General Secretary Mainul Hossain Khan Nikhil, and its central and local leaders also spoke at the program, among others.
Dhaka TribuneFrom this program, Jubo League leaders distributed two power threshers, 4-foot pumps and 25kg fertilizer per person to 150 farmers.
Speakers at the distribution event urged the farmers to cultivate each and every inch lands of the country so that Bangladesh can tackle the food crisis caused by the Russia-Ukraine war.

Though the program was arranged at Bhanga upazila of Faridpur but leaders and activist of nearby districts also gathered in the program which Jubo league named as the “farmers conference”.
