PM Hasina to appear on ‘Hridoye Mati O Manush’

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina would be seen in Channel I show “Hridoye Mati O Manush” not as the premier of the country but as a farmer.

The show would be telecast at 9:30pm on Saturday.

She will be seen inside Ganobhaban in her cultivated field.

In the episode, the prime minister discusses how the economic improvement of rural people's life, the improvement of farmers with food security, and the improvement of agriculture is needed for self-sufficiency in food and meeting sustainable development goals.

The prime minister has urged to learn the method or how to grow any type of crop in any region of the country. She recently gave Shykh Seraj a long interview to highlight the issue on camera.

In the interview, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said: “My father was involved in agriculture when he was a child. It was he who gave all us siblings the opportunity to practice agriculture.”

“Later, when I got directly involved with the politics of the country, I still worked with the poor people of the village and saw their suffering. Our country's economy is based on agriculture. Besides, the population is also high. In this situation, emphasis should always be placed on agriculture,” she added.

The prime minister further said: “Our land is so fertile that with a little effort we can increase our production.”

In this regard, Shykh Seraj said: “The example of multifaceted agricultural production set by the honourable prime minister in Ganabhaban is educational and inspiring for the people of the country.”
