The Ansar member, who took money from social media personality and travel vlogger Harry Jaggard, at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, was withdrawn from his duty on Sunday.
He was told to leave the Ansar barracks with all his belongings within Monday morning.
According to reports, Harry was travelling to Cox's Bazar from Dhaka. He mistakenly went to the international terminal instead of the domestic terminal
The Ansar member, Rashed Sirajul, asked for money from Harry for his assistance at the airport.
A member of the airport's Aviation Security (AVSEC) came forward and assisted him with directions. Rashed also helped Harry to the driveway.
Later, Rashed asked for money from Harry for his assistance and Harry paid him some money.
A video of Harry coming to Dhaka and paying the Ansar member for assistance was published on YouTube and went viral on social media. A lot of people criticized the Ansar member's actions.
According to sources, the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) identified the AVSEC member after watching Harry's video. After being identified, Rashed Sirajul was withdrawn from the air force on Sunday.
The CAAB also requested Bangladesh Ansar to take departmental action against him.
