Minister: Govt to provide special facilities for tulip flowers

Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni on Sunday said that the government will make arrangements and special facilities for taking care of tulip flowers depending on their capacity.

She told this to reporters while visiting a tulip garden in Gazipur's Sreepur upazila.

The minister said: “We yet do not have the facilities needed to store tulip bulbs. Flowers are now being widely produced in Bangladesh. A particular revolution has also taken place in the field of flower production.”

It is difficult to cultivate tulips in Bangladesh's weather, but the Delwar couple owning the garden has been doing it for the past four years, she said.
