Chilly conditions to persist, met office says

Weather may remain dry with partly cloudy sky over the country while moderate to severe cold condition likely to continue over north, north-western and central part of the country, said a met office release on Saturday. 

Night and day temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, said the release, adding "Due to lower difference between day and night temperature, moderate to severe cold condition likely to continue over north, north-western and central part of the country".

Moderate to thick fog may occur over the country during midnight till morning and it may continue till noon at places, according to weather forecast for the next twenty-four hours commencing from 9am this morning.

Ridge of Sub-continental high extends up to West Bengal & adjoining area of Bangladesh.

Seasonal low lies over South Bay, extending its trough to North Bay.

Country's highest temperature on Tuesday was recorded by 28.6°C at Teknaf and minimum temperature on Wednesday was recorded by 9°C at Sreemangal.
