The hearing on ACC's case filed against Ismail Hossain Chowdhury Samrat over amassing illegal wealth has been postponed.
Dhaka Special Judge's Court-6 judge Al Asad Md Asifuzzaman passed the order on Sunday.
The court fixed January 30 for the next hearing.
Earlier on November 8, the same court extended Samrat's bail in the ACC case till December 11. Along with that, the court fixed Sunday for the hearing of the complaint formation. So, Samrat appeared in court on Sunday.
His lawyer applied for postponing of the charge sheet hearing. After the hearing, the judge granted the application and gave the order, confirmed sources related to the court.
The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) on November 12, 2019, filed the case against Samrat for amassing illegal wealth of Tk2.94 crore.
The anti-graft body filed a charge-sheet on November 26, 2020, and on March 22, 2022, the court took the charge-sheet into cognizance.
