Simeen Hussain Rimi becomes Awami League presidium member

 Gazipur-4 MP Simeen Hussain Rimi, daughter of Bangladesh's wartime prime minister Tajuddin Ahmad, has been announced as the presidium member of Bangladesh Awami League. 

Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader announced the development at the sixth triennial national council of Mohila Awami League, an associate body of the ruling Awami League, at the historic Suhrawardy Udyan.

At the event, Jahanara Begum was named as the women's affairs secretary of the Awami League central committee.

Awami League President Sheikh Hasina was present as the chief guest of Mohila Awami League's central council. Awami league Secretary made the new announcement of the new posts  as per the directives of Sheikh Hasina

Meanwhile, outgoing secretary Meher Afroz Chumki was made the president of Bangladesh Mohila Awami League.

On the other hand, Shabnam Zahan Shila was announced as the new general secretary of the party. She has previously served as the general secretary of Mohila Awami League's Dhaka city north unit.

Previously serving as the General Secretary of the Mohila Awami League's Dhaka City north section, Shabnam Zahan Shila has been named the organization's new general secretary.
