‘No content against religions, women, Liberation War’

Education Minister Dipu Moni has instructed the authors that the contents that spread hatred against any religion or women or the 1971 Liberation War cannot be in the new curriculum textbooks.

“Gender equality must be protected in the textbooks. The history of the Liberation War should be presented correctly,” she said while participating in the revision and development of the textbooks at the National Curriculum and Textbook Board (NCTB) conference room on Tuesday.

Deputy Minister Mahibul Hasan Chowdhury was present at this time.

The minister said: "Photos that create controversy cannot be used while very significant images must be used. Special importance should be given to the way things can be said easily.”

Textbook authors and NCTB officials were present at the event.
