Two cases have been filed over a clash at a BNP protest rally in Munshiganj’s Muktarpur on Wednesday.
Munshiganj Sadar police station Sub-Inspector (SI) Mainuddin and local Sramik League leader Abdul Malek filed the two cases on Thursday accusing 365 named and another 1,000 unidentified people.
The main accused in the case filed by the SI is Munshiganj Sadar Upazila BNP Convener Md Mohiuddin.
The police arrested 24 people in the two cases and sent them to court in the evening.
At least 50 people, including 30 policemen, were injured during a clash at the BNP rally in Munshiganj’s Muktarpur on Wednesday.
The skirmish started when the police tried to intervene in the protest program.
