The members of Demra traffic police have helped an SSC examinee, who mistakenly went to the wrong examination center, by dropping him at the right center on time.
The incident took place in the capital’s Shyampur area on Thursday, said Imran Hossain Molla, assistant police commissioner of Demra Traffic Division, reports Bangla Tribune.
He said an examinee along with his mother mistakenly came to Shyampur Government Model School and College centre. After checking his roll, he identified that Bakchar Adarsha High School, which is about half an hour away from that centre, is his actual examination centre.
Imran Hossain said: “Considering the situation and time, both of them were taken to Bakchar Adarsha High School center by my official car.”
At this time, TI GM Mucha Kalimulla and Sergeant Imran helped them to reach the centre safely, he concluded.
The examinee and his mother thanked the members of Demra traffic police for their support.
The Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent exams started on Thursday.
This year, the exams began at 11am instead of 10am, considering the usual traffic jams in the peak morning hours.
As per the schedule, the SSC and equivalent examinations will end on October 18.
Some 15,99,711 candidates are expected to sit for the SSC exam under nine general education boards, 2,68,495 for Dakhil exams under Madrasa Education Board and 1,53,662 for vocational exam under the Bangladesh Technical Education Board this year, the Education Minister had earlier said.
Some 3,790 centers have been set up for the SSC exams across the country.
