Thakurgaon Sadar upazila administration has issued Section 144 as BNP and Awami Swachhasebak League called for a program at the same place in Ruhia union of the upazila.
Thakurgaon Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer (acting) Bhumi Shahriar Rahman issued the order on Tuesday morning.
The acting UNO said BNP and Swachhasebak League have programs in Ruhia from morning and both organizations are adamant in carrying out their programs.
If the programs of both parties continue, there may be vandalism of vehicles, damage to private and government property and disruption of the law and order situation at various intersections of Ruhia area, so the decision was made in order to keep the situation normal and for the safety of the people.
Section 144 has been imposed from 8am to 8pm at the intersection of Ruhia police station area and in surrounding areas including rail gates and bus, auto, micro
stands.
Meanwhile, all kinds of gatherings, meetings and marches, gatherings of four or more people and all activities contrary to law and order have been banned in these areas.
