One of the four accused over misbehaving with a female intern of Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital and attacking two intern doctors got bail on Monday while three others were still on remand.
Sylhet Women and Children Repression Prevention Tribunal granted bail to Md Abdullah, nephew of Awami League’s metropolitan unit Vice-President Abdul Khalik.

According to court sources, Abdullah surrendered to the Women and Children Repression Prevention Tribunal on Monday.
His lawyer pleaded for bail claiming that he was under 18 years old. After the hearing, the judge granted his bail till August 25, said Public Prosecutor Naushad Ahmad Chowdhury of the Metropolitan Sessions Judge Court.
On the other hand, the court granted two-day remand to the three accused.
The investigating officer of the case, SI Rashed Fazal of Kotwali Police Station, said that the remand of Divya Sarkar, Saeed Hasan Rabbi and Ehsan Ahmed was requested for five days. After the hearing on Sunday, the judge granted remand for two days.
Earlier on Sunday, two relatives of a patient misbehaved with a female medical intern at the hospital. They were later handed over to the police.
To take revenge, relatives of the patient entered the college campus and stabbed two intern doctors — Rudra Nath and Naimur Rahman Imon — on Monday night.
Later that night, all intern doctors of the hospital suspended their services and announced to go on strike until all the attackers were arrested.
