Dhaka University has suspended one of its students for his involvement in sexual harassment.
The decision came in the meeting of the university’s disciplinary committee held on Thursday at the university’s Nawab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Building, with DU Vice Chancellor Prof Md Ahtaruzzaman in the chair, said a press release.
Suspended Kabir Ahmed is a master’s student of the university’s communication disorders department, added the release.
DU Pro-VC (Administration) Professor Mohammad Samad, Pro-VC (Academic) Dr ASM Maksud Kamal and Proctor AKM Golam Rabbani were also present in the meeting.
Earlier, on September 29, a female student of the communication disorder department filed a written complain of sexual harassment to the university proctor against Kabir Ahmed Kowshik.
