A total of 59,747 Bangladeshi pilgrims have reached Saudi Arabia so far to perform Hajj.
Of these, 30,360 were flown by Biman Bangladesh Airlines, 23,524 by Saudi Airlines and 5,863 by Flynas Airlines, said a press release on Tuesday.
Hajj flights started from June 5. The return flight of Hajj will start on July 14 and will continue till August 4.
This year, about 60,000 pilgrims including 55,885 under private management from Bangladesh will perform Hajj, while around one million pilgrims from around the world will visit Saudi Arabia for the same purpose.
The Bangladeshi pilgrims are going to perform Hajj with the help of 359 Hajj agencies. This year, the Hajj is going to be held on July 8.
Meanwhile, one more Bangladeshi pilgrim passed away while performing Hajj in Saudi Arabia, taking the total death toll to 12.
The deceased have been identified as Md Khaybar Hossain, 55, a pilgrim from Rangpur district, died in the holy city of Mecca, said Bangladesh Hajj Management Portal.
So far this year, eight men and four women have died in Saudi Arabia during the holy Hajj.
