A Dhaka court on Thursday set June 26 for submitting a probe report in a case lodged over the murder of actor Raima Islam Shimu.
Dhaka Senior Judicial Magistrate Farhana Yasmin passed the order as the concerned investigation officer failed to submit the report on Thursday.
The two accused in the case, Shimu's husband Sakhawat Ali Nobel and his friend SM Farhad have been arrested and have already given confessional statements. They are now behind bars.
Police on January 17, 2022, recovered the body of Shimu hidden inside a sack, from the Keraniganj area. At first, police couldn't identify the body.
Later, the police bureau of investigation (PBI) managed to identify her by her fingerprints.
On January 18, Shimu's brother Harunur Rashid filed the case with Keraniganj Model police station.
