The Prime Minister's Office (PMO) has sent food items to three centres of street children marking the 102nd birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
The improved food items were distributed among the children residing in the city's three institutions – Street Children Rehabilitation Centres at Kawran Bazar and Kamlapur and SOS Shishu Palli at Shyamoli – on Sunday afternoon.
The children expressed their joys after having improved food items as gift from the prime minister.
Before sending the food items to the centres, a prayer was offered at the PMO seeking eternal peace of the departed souls of the August 15, 1975 martyrs. A discussion was held on Bangabandhu's illustrious political life.
