AKM Manir Hossain Pathan, an additional chief engineer of the Roads and Highways Department (RHD), has been appointed Chief Engineer of the Roads and Highways Department.
The Department of Road Transport and Highways issued a notification on Saturday confirming the appointment.
Monir Hossain joined the Department of Roads and Highways in 1989 as an assistant engineer. He has carried out various responsibilities at field level in the department.
Monir was the team leader of Annual Performance Agreement (APA) of Roads and Highways Department in the fiscal year 2019-2020 and 2020-2021 when the RHD clinched the top position among the various departments of Roads and Highways Division.
Monir Hossain is also the president of the executive committee of Roads and Highways Engineers Association's central committee.
