The second phase of the Right Here, Right Now (RHRN 2) project has started with a view to working on sexual and reproductive health and rights awareness through empowering adolescents and youths.
Nasima Begum, chairperson of the National Human Rights Commission Bangladesh (NHRC), inaugurated the project at a Dhaka hotel on Monday.
Speaking as the chief guest at the event, she said the project will make a significant contribution towards achieving various goals of the Sustainable Development Goals.
The RHRN 2 project is coalition led by Bandhu Social Welfare Society (Bandhu).
The project hopes to ensure that adolescents and youths can speak up for their needs and rights and play an active role in establishing gender equality in society, said a press release.
Lawmakers Shameem Haider Patwary and Adiba Anjum Mita, among others, were present the inauguration program chaired by Bandhu Chairperson Anisul Islam Hero.
