Bangladesh reports 125 more Covid cases

Bangladesh reported another 125 Covid-19 cases in 24 hours to Tuesday morning.

With the new numbers, the country's total caseload rose to 2,041,748, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

However, the official death toll from the disease remained unchanged at 29,457.

The daily infection rate decreased to 7.03% from Monday's 9.29% as 1,789 samples were tested.

The recovery rate stood at 98.33% while the death rate remained unchanged at 1.44%.

Bangladesh registered its highest daily caseload of 16,230 on July 28 in 2021 and its highest number of fatalities of 264 on August 10 of the same year.
