Hero Alom to contest Dhaka-17 by-polls

YouTuber Ashraful Hossen Alom, popularly known as Hero Alom, has said he will take part in the upcoming Dhaka-17 by-polls.

He said: "Alongside acting, I am also engaged in political activities. I want to take part in the upcoming election and have aspirations for it."

He made the anouncement on Sunday while visiting a State Cinema Hall in Tangail.

Dhaka-17 constituency fell vacant following the death of actor Akbar Hossain Pathan Farooque.

Hero Alom said he will buy a nomination form from the Election Commission on Monday.

Talking about his upcoming projects, he said: "My four movies will be released soon. The entire work of the films has been completed. Each of these films will be released one by one at any time."

Regarding his new film, Hero Alom said: "I was once a street child. Tokai film represents a part of my life. After watching the film, the audience did not criticize me. No one has said that Hero Alom can not act well in films. Everyone is saying that Hero Alom has improved significantly compared to before. They liked the movie. It portrayed the hardships and sorrows of a street child. This film has received a lot of appreciation from the viewers."

He further stated: "I am also working with Hero Alam Foundation. Even before the film, I have been working with disadvantaged people. In the upcoming Eid-ul-Adha, we will release the movie Badsha: The King."

Hero Alom: "It's disheartening to see some individuals criticize me without any valid reasons. They seem to derive pleasure from criticizm, but in reality, they remain inactive and hinder others from making progress. Nevertheless, just as the public supports and appreciates me from behind the curtain, they show the same love and admiration when I'm in the spotlight."

During the conversation, Tokai film heroine Ria Moni was also present
