The Eighth Bangladesh-China Friendship Bridge, whose construction work started on November 1, 2018, will be opened to traffic at 12:01am on Monday.
The Roads and Highways Department constructed the 998-metre-long and 13.4-metre-wide bridge at a cost of Tk894.08 crore.
The Chinese government provided Tk654.8 crore as project assistance for the bridge, while the Bangladesh side spent Tk239.8 crore.
The bridge is located 185km southwest of Dhaka in Pirojpur.
