Government on Monday decided to shut petrol pumps one day a week in a bid to tackle the ongoing power and energy crisis.
Energy Advisor to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina Tawfiq-e-Elahi Chowdhury and State Minister for the Ministry of Power, Energy, and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid said at a meeting at PMO on Monday.

They also recommended introducing virtual office in some government and private office to save electricity.
Besides, area-based load shedding across Bangladesh will begin from Tuesday. The decisions will remain in effect until further notice.
Meanwhile, State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid urged everyone to work together to resolve the problem.
