‘I was raped, I want justice’

A teenager seeking justice directly walked in front of a High Court bench, saying her rapist was acquitted by a lower court.

On Wednesday, the High Court bench of Justice Jahangir Hossain and Justice Shahed Nur Uddin were carrying out judicial proceedings as usual, reports Bangla Tribune.

It was during this time, the 15-year-old walked in front of the dais and said: “We are poor and have no money. I was raped and I want justice.”

She told the court that she was raped by a Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) member but a court in Nilphamari acquitted him.

“We want justice from you,” she told the court.
