Depot fire: 14 injured admitted to Sheikh Hasina burn institute

A total of 14 injured from the fire at the BM container depot in Sitakunda, Chittagong are now undergoing treatment at Sheikh Hasina National Institute Of Burn And Plastic Surgery.

Samanta Lal Sen, in charge of the burn unit, said: "So far we have received 14 patients. All of them are in critical condition as their airways have been burnt.”

The Bangladesh Army brought seven people to Dhaka by helicopter on Sunday afternoon. Later, they were brought to the hospital by seven ambulances under police guard.

Among the injured brought to Dhaka, two are fire service personnel– Robin Mia of Sitakunda Fire Service, and Gausul Azam of Kumira Fire Service Station.
