The historic March 7 speech by Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, which laid out the path to Bangladesh’s independence has been published in Spanish
The Bangladesh Embassy in Mexico has unveiled the Spanish version of the 1971 Race Course address by Bangabandhu on Monday.
The Embassy observed the occasion with due solemnity and vigor. Ambassador Abida Islam in presence of all the officials of the Embassy published the version, said a media statement.

Later, officials, from Embassy read out the historic March 7 speech, both in English and Spanish languages. The participants also highlighted the significance of the speech at an open discussion session.
Ambassador Abida Islam in her speech paid rich tribute to the Father of the Nation as well as to all the valiant freedom fighters of Bangladesh.

The ambassador also hoped that the Spanish version of the March 7 speech would encourage Mexican friends and Spanish-speaking people all around the world to gain a better understanding of the political life and contributions of Bangabandhu in the emergence of Bangladesh as an independent and sovereign nation-state in 1971.
The event came to an end by entertaining the attendees with traditional cuisine of Bangladesh.
