He said the premier was giving utmost importance to public healthcare amid the Covid-19 situation.

According to the official, the prime minister has taken many steps in order to ensure healthcare services, including recruitment of doctors and health workers, enhancing health infrastructure and equipment facilities, increasing ICUs, increasing hospital capacity, providing incentives for health workers and providing free Covid-19 vaccines to people.

Sheikh Hasina has also made a special allocation for public healthcare services.

Director General (Administration) of PMO Mohd Ahsan Kibria Siddiqui sent a letter to the authorities concerned on Sunday to execute the directive.
