Bangladesh observes International Day of UN Peacekeepers

Bangladesh observed the International Day of UN Peacekeepers 2021 on Saturday like everywhere else in the world.

The UN has designated May 29 as the International Day of UN Peacekeepers to recognize the contributions of civilians and uniformed personnel who perform the task of peacekeeping.

The theme of the International Day of UN Peacekeepers 2021 was "The road to a lasting peace: Leveraging the power of youth for peace and security" as many UN peacekeepers are aged between 18-29.

Bangladesh observed the day in the morning with "Peacekeepers Day Run 2021" arranged at air force bases, Bashar and Zahurul Haque.
