North South University (NSU) inaugurated a Bangabandhu and Liberation War Corner at the university Central Library and launched NSU Research Excellent Award 2021 on March 18.
As part of the national celebrations of the centenary of the birthday of Bangladesh’s founding father, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, North South University has taken many glorious initiatives.
The Bangabandhu and Liberation War Corner has an impressive collection of books, archival materials, and pictures on Bangabandhu as well as the great liberation war, read a press release published by NSU on Thursday.
NSU is one of the most research-active universities in Bangladesh. To further encourage research, NSU has established awards for the top three researchers in each of the four schools.
Through a rigorous process of assessment, NSU has selected the winners of these research awards which include gold medals and cash prizes.
The university is publishing a book on the life of Father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. NSU is also the proud knowledge partner of 100 days long “Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Quiz” organized by the Education ministry & University Grant Commission.
Science and Technology Minister Architect Yeafesh Osman was present as the chief guest. Former president of Federation of Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industries and the Chairman of the Board of Trustees (BoT), North South University MA Kashem was present as a special guest.
Members of the Board of Trustee Freedom Fighter Lion Benajir Ahmed, Rehana Rahman, Aziz AI Kaiser and Tanveer Harun were present. Vice-Chancellor of NSU Prof Atiqul Islamchaired the session.
