Jabbarer Boli Khela, a century-old wrestling competition of Chittagong, has been cancelled for the second year in a row due to the coronavirus pandemic, organisers said in a press briefing on Wednesday.
Councilor Jahar Lal Hazari, president of the fair committee, said the fair has been postponed again as public gatherings are risky during the time of a global pandemic.
Jabbarer Boli Khela is a traditional wrestling tournament which is held on 12th of Baishakh every year at Laldighi Maidan in Chittagong.
The event is so popular that a 3-day long Baishakhi Mela is held at Laldighi Maidan during this time centering the tournament.
