Bangladeshi held with fake passport from Kolkata airport

Police have arrested a Bangladeshi national from Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International (NSCBI) Airport in Kolkata on charges of carrying a fake passport. Mohammad Hidayatullah was detained from the airport on Sunday. He was returning to Bangladesh from Mumbai via Kolkata, reports the Millennium Post. According to the report, the detainee was interrogated by the officers and produced before the court. After examining the documents, the officers became ascertained that Hidayatullah was carrying a fake passport. The detainee also gave confusing statement when he was called up for primary interrogation. The Bidhannagar City Police is investigating to find out how he got the fake Bangladeshi passport. Two Sri Lankans and a Bangladeshi were detained on charges of carrying fake passports from the same airport on April 19.
