64 female recruits participate in BAF's passing out parade for graduates

The passing out parade of Recruits’ Entry No 48 of Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) held at the Recruits’ Training School (RTS) in Moulvibazar's Shamshernagar, on Wednesday, where for the first time total 64 female recruits took part.

Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Masihuzzaman Serniabat took the salute as the parade and march-past went by. 

He then distributed trophies among the recruits for their outstanding results, said a press release of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR). 

Out of the 752 recruits, including 64 females, a first in BAF's history, [AC-II] Sheikh Didarul Islam and [AC-II] Sarwar Alam Shahid were adjudged as the best recruits in academics and general service training. 

Meanwhile, aircraftman [AC-II] Emad Uddin Majumder was announced the best recruit for his all-round performance.

In his speech, Air Chief Marshal Serniabat advised the recruits to work with honesty, integrity, and sincerity and establish themselves as exemplary airmen of BAF. 

He concluded his speech wishing that the young recruits will be able to make strong contributions in safeguarding the airspace of Bangladesh through the demonstration of steadfast patriotism.

Several other dignitaries, officials, eminent locals, civil servants, journalists, and families of the graduating trainees were present at the event.
