Meeting on implementing Asrayan-2 project held at PMO

A virtual meeting on rehabilitating “ka” category homeless and landless families within the “Mujib Year,” under the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s Asrayan-2 Project, was held at the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) on Monday afternoon.

Prime Minister’s Principal Secretary Dr Ahmad Kaikaus presided over the virtual meeting attended by all divisional commissioners and deputy commissioners of the country.

PMO Secretary Md Tofazzel Hossain Miah and Project Director of the Asrayan-2 Project Md Mahbub Hossain also attended the meeting, among others.

The meeting held discussions on division-wise fund allocation for constructing houses, completion of the house construction work within three months, proper selection of beneficiaries as per the approved policy and guidelines and ensuring quality in constructing houses.

Regular monitoring of the house construction work by the monitoring committee led by deputy commissioners (DCs), following the guidelines in constructing houses, distribution of khas land lease and house construction simultaneously, sending of proposals for constructing barracks on condition of getting khas land and determining the process for rehabilitating the remaining ‘ka’ category landless and homeless families were also discussed.

Earlier, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina declared to rehabilitate all the landless and homeless people across the country with new homes within the Mujib Year, the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
