Bangladeshi origin boy becomes youngest jury of UN art contest

Bangladeshi origin 13-years-old Saied Muhammad Zareef Saleh has become the youngest jury member of “The Future We Want,” an international art contest of the United Nations.

The UN’s Perception Change Project in Geneva organized the event making the 75th anniversary of the United Nations, said a press release issued on Sunday.

US citizens or lawfully permanent residents aging from 13-15 years from 44 countries participated in the program.

In the first step of the competition, the artworks received 17,000 online votes and finally the three winners were selected by the jury.

Zareef is the son of Barisal Metropolitan Police Deputy Commissioner (Headquarters) ARM Saleh and Engineer Nishat.

Director General Tatiana Valovaya of the United Nations office at Geneva appreciated Zareef on 27th August 2020.

Earlier, Zareef became winner of several national and international art contests, including Kids Human Rights Drawing Contest.
