Rashid Ahmed, 62, is a resident of Ukhiya, Cox’s Bazar. The father of four lives a simple life, earning his livelihood by running a small retail shop.
His quiet life came to a halt last year, when he was diagnosed with cancer. His doctor has suggested four or five chemotherapy sessions for his treatment.
Rashid has already undergone two sessions, but now he has no money left to continue his treatment, according to his family.
In order to finish the chemotherapy sessions, Rashid needs Tk1-1.5 lakh more, which his family is unable to provide. In this circumstance, his family seeks help from anyone who can lend a hand, and so Rashid’s children can have their father in their life.
