Biman Bangladesh Airlines has offered charter flights on the domestic routes as cancel regular flights continue to be cancelled due to lack of passengers.
The national carrier offers to charter flight on three domestic routes for family trip at a cost of Tk3-5 lakh. After five hours, passenger will have to pay additional charge, said Deputy General Manager (public relations) of Biman, Tahera Khondoker, on Thursday.

Biman was set to operate at least 12 flights per day, however, due to the pandemic situation it had to cancel a total of 46 flights, said its spokesperson Tahera.
The flights were supposed to resume from Thursday. The airline later decided to extend the duration of its domestic flight cancellation till Saturday, she added.
Moreover, Biman is offering tickets at a lower price to make it more affordable amidst the crisis situation of the country. Tickets on Dhaka-Chittagong or Dhaka-Sylhet routes now cost Tk2,500 and Tk2,700 on Dhaka-Saidpur route.
