Novoair, a Dhaka-based airline, will give free air tickets to healthcare professionals engaged in treating Covid-19 patients. An announcement to this effect was made by the airline on Monday.
Doctors, nurses and other healthcare workers can travel to destinations covered by Novoair in the country through the facility being offered.
More than 3,000 tickets, worth Tk1 crore, will be given away between June 1 and December 31.
However, this offer is subject to a resumption of flight operations.
This facility can be availed by submitting an application through the airline’s website.
Mofizur Rahman, Managing Director of Novoair, said: “Our highest respect is reserved for the healthcare professionals who are working day and night by putting their own lives at risk. We have taken this initiative to strengthen the treatment system in the country.”
