Son of Taj Manjil’s owner sent to jail

Metropolitan Magistrate Nurun Nahar Yasmin passed the order on Sunday after Sub-inspector Bazlur Rahman of Mirpur police station, produced the four people before the court after completion of her two-day interrogation at police custody. The other three people are Mahfuzul Ansar, Mominuddin and Jakir Hossain. All the four people were arrested under section 54 of CrPC from the Taj Manjil after the incident. Earlier the same court on Saturday sent Mamtaz Parveen, wife of the house owner to jail after her two-day remand. She was also arrested under section 54 of the CrPC for renting their house to the militants and hiding the information to police. The owner of the building Atahar Uddin Ahmed lives abroad. An operation called ‘Storm 26’ was carried out in the 6-storey building, locally known as Jahaz Bari in Kallyanpur area around 5:45am on Tuesday. A total of nine suspected militants were killed in the operation.
