16% job opportunities available online

A total of 16% job opportunities of Bangladesh are available on online platform, said a report by Everjobs Bangladesh. The everjobs.com.bd, one of the fastest growing online career portals of Bangladesh, has recently released its latest edition of Everjobs Career Report, an in-depth analysis of the online employment trends. The study, which was conducted by monitoring the traffic on the website of Everjobs over January, February and March 2017, unveiled that a total of 16% job opportunities of Bangladesh are available on online platform. The manufacturing industry holds the highest position of job providers in the first quarter of 2017. Roles in management took the first place in both Most Vacancies Online category and Most In-Demand category by job seekers. In the first quarter of 2017, 25% of the total amount of applications was submitted through everjobs.com.bd. However, engineering related jobs were the most searched jobs on the website. Floris L Bos, managing director of Everjobs Bangladesh said: “The first quarter of 2017 was a good one for job seekers with new job opportunities all over Bangladesh across various industries. While the manufacturing industry is still leading the market and interest for management jobs is rapidly increasing, continuing the trend from last year, we are starting to identify other industries and job categories such as those related to Information Technology that are playing an important role in employment in Bangladesh.”
