Storm suspends water transports nationwide

Water transport service was halted for four hours throughout the country on Monday. Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority (BIWTA) spokeperson Mobarak Hossain Majumder  said: “Water transport has been suspended from 10am to 2pm for bad weather.” The vessels and river ports were alerted with cautionary signal No 2 during the period.
