Jewellers have revised gold prices just two days after hiking it on Monday.
In a statement on Wednesday, Bangladesh Jewellers Samity (Bajus) said that the revised prices will be effective from Thursday.
Bajus had increased the price of per bhori of 22-, 21-, and 18-carat gold by Tk1,166 (11.683 grams) and the price of silver by Tk233 per bhori with no change in the rates of the traditional method, and platinum.
As per the revised prices, consumers will pay Tk55,695 per bhori of 22-carat gold, Tk53,362 per bhori of 21-carat, and Tk48,347 per phori of 18-carat gold.
The association said the prices went up due to the rise of gold prices in the international market.
At present, the price for gold in the traditional method is set at Tk27,588, and for 23-carat platinum at Tk65,026.
Earlier on Monday, jewellers hiked the price of gold.
