The Power, Energy and Mineral Resource Ministry has said CNG refuelling stations will remain open round the clock, from August 1, until further notice.
A press release, signed on Tuesday by the ministry's Deputy Secretary Akramuzzaman, confirmed the matter, reports BSS.
However, no specific reason was mentioned for such a decision announced through a media statement.
Meanwhile, Energy and Mineral Resources Secretary Abu Hena Md Rahmatul Munim told reporters that the country’s gas crisis has been resolved with the import of 1000 mmcfd gas in the form of liquefied natural gas (LNG), reports UNB.
"Now, the government will allow CNG stations to operate continuously until further notice, as it wants to encourage the use of LNG in motor vehicles," he added.
