Paltan high-rise building fire under control

Duty officer of fire service headquarters Nazma Akter said the fire broke out on the ground floor of the tower at around 2:30pm. On information, six units of fire service rushed to the spot and doused the fire by 3:27pm, she said. No casualties were reported in the incident, she said adding that electric short circuit at the generator had caused the fire, Nazma said.
