As the earthquake struck during the meeting, the president and others left the Darbar Hall immediately.

The meeting resumed few minutes later, reports Bangla Tribune. According to Bangladesh Meteorological Department, an earthquake measuring 5.5 on the Richter scale hit Dhaka and other parts of the country around 3:09pm on Tuesday. Two people died and several houses were damaged in Sylhet and Sunamganj areas.
