Case filed over MP Liton murder

The case was filed with Sundarganj police station around 10pm on Sunday.
Sundarganj OC Atiar Rahman said: “MP Liton’s younger sister Fahmida Bulbul Kakoli filed the case.”
The body is set to be sent to Dhaka by a helicopter Sunday. His second janaza would be held at the south plaza of the parliament at 10am Monday. Liton would be buried at his village home in Shahbaj under Bamondanga Union of Sundarganj.
Unidentified assailants shot Liton at his home on Staurday evening. He was pronounced dead at Rangpur Medical College Hospital the same night.
Doctors said Liton had two chest wounds and three on his right arm. He died of excessive bleeding.
Police have so far detained 10 people for questioning in connection with the murder. Several teams of the police are working on the case and conducting drives to arrest the suspects.
